We've somehow reached the last big vacation week of summer in Ocean City, New Jersey.
If you're checking into your Ocean City beach house August 29 through Labor Day weekend, don't start thinking about fall just yet. There are still beach days to enjoy, Boardwalk nights to squeeze in, concerts to see, ice cream to eat and one final summer drone show lighting up the sky.
So unpack the flip-flops and put away the pumpkin spice for another week.
Ocean City still has some summer left.
Late August and early September can be a fantastic time to be on the beach in Ocean City, NJ.
The ocean has had all summer to warm up, the days are still long, and there's something particularly nice about realizing you don't have an endless number of summer beach days left.
Our advice?
Stay a little later.
Take one more swim.
And don't be the person who says, “We can go back to the beach tomorrow.”
Tomorrow eventually becomes September.

Monday, August 31 is a big night on the Boardwalk.
First, Family Nights runs from 7:00–9:00 p.m. between Sixth and 14th streets, with magicians, music, characters and other entertainment.
Then at 9:00 p.m., look up.
Ocean City's America 250: Lights Over Ocean City Drone Show returns over the beach and Boardwalk south of Sixth Street.
Hundreds of drones create patriotic animations in the sky as part of America's 250th anniversary celebration.

Need a little break from the beach?
The Ocean City Farmers Market returns Wednesday, September 2 from 8:00 a.m. until noon at the Ocean City Tabernacle grounds.
Pick up fresh produce, browse the craft vendors and then wander over to Asbury Avenue for a little downtown shopping.
It's a pretty nice way to spend a late-summer morning before heading back to the beach.
Wednesday night brings something completely different to the Music Pier.
Starman: The Best of David Bowie takes the stage September 2 at 7:30 p.m., celebrating the music of one of rock's most iconic performers.
