Part of what makes Cape May, New Jersey so different from other Jersey Shore towns is that there's plenty to enjoy even when you're not on the beach.
Take a walk or bike ride past the colorful Victorian homes, explore the historic streets and don't forget to take a few pictures.
Cape May is one of those places where simply wandering around town can be part of the vacation.

If you've never watched the sunset from the Cape May area, don't leave without doing it.
Head toward Sunset Beach in the evening, find a good spot and enjoy one of those summer nights you'll wish you could bottle up and save for February.

Nobody should be cooking an elaborate dinner at the beach house during the last weekend of August.
You've got all fall for that.

This seems to be becoming a theme with us this summer.
But we're standing by it.
If you're in Cape May for one of the final weekends of summer, get the ice cream.
